The Slotted Screwfit insert is a precision-engineered brass self-tapping threaded insert designed to create strong, durable threads in a wide range of plastics, composites and selected metal materials. Featuring both internal and external threads, a wide cutting slot and a tapered lead, these inserts cut their own mating thread during installation, making them ideal for post-mould assembly and retrofit applications.

The fine external thread profile reduces installation torque, while the tapered nose assists alignment and easy entry into the receiving bore. The wide cutting slot provides efficient material removal, enabling reliable thread formation in harder materials including thermoplastics, thermoset plastics and certain metals.
