Self-Clinching Nut - Stainless - M4-2

Self-clinching nuts are designed to create strong, permanent female threads in sheet materials without the need for welding. Installation involves drilling a properly sized hole in the sheet, inserting the nut, and using a press to secure it in place. The underside of the nut features a serrated clinching ring that embeds into the sheet metal under pressure. These serrations bite into the material, locking the nut in place and providing resistance to rotation when a mating fastener is threaded into it.
